2015 West Nile Summary
|In addition to tracking human illness in the county, WCCHD actively monitors mosquitoes for arbovirus infection, including WNV, weekly between May-November. Mosquitoes are sent to the Texas Department of State Health Services Laboratory for laboratory testing and viral reporting.
Identification of infected mosquitos indicates increased risk for infection, but not finding infected mosquitos does not mean zero risk for infection. This page with be updated weekly May through October with the most current information.
