Medical Reserve Corps (MRC)
The Williamson County Medical Reserve Corps (Wilco MRC) is a team of trained medical and non-medical volunteers that are headquartered within the Williamson County and Cities Health District (WCCHD).
The mission of the Wilco MRC is to help protect and promote the health and safety of the people of Williamson County during times of public health emergencies. The Wilco MRC recruits, trains, builds and sustains a team of medical, public health, and other (including those with no formal medical training) volunteers. In order to be prepared for public health emergency response, the Wilco MRC is involved in community preparedness activities and training during periods of non-emergency.
By volunteering to serve with the Wilco MRC, area residents can help support the Williamson County and Cities Health District (WCCHD) by becoming part of a team of trained volunteers who prepare for and respond to public health emergencies.
In times of non-emergency, Wilco MRC volunteers can help with other efforts geared toward promoting the importance of good health, nutrition, safety, and personal preparedness.
