Full name including any professional designations.
Katherine M. Galloway, MT (ASCP)

Professional experience starting with most current and going back as far as you choose. Include time in positions if you choose.
I left my profession of Medical Technology to raise a family. So my second profession was as a school bus driver and transportation office worker. Because that was a part time job, I had time to do lots of volunteer work.

Your connection to Williamson County and the city you represent for Board members serving as representatives of member cities. For example, how long you have lived in the area, what other community leadership positions you hold/have held, etc.
My connection to Williamson County starts with my birth. All my grandparents were early settlers in Williamson County. I was born in the same house as my father on what is now I-35. My family left Williamson County when I was two but visited the county often. I moved back to Williamson County in 1994. I became politically active when a concrete batch plant was being proposed across the road from my house.

Why you are glad to serve on the WCCHD Board of Health.
I am honored to serve on the WCCHD Board of Health. I believe all of us benefit from a healthy population. The employees of the Health District are dedicated to their jobs and enthusiastic about their mission. They are a joy to work with.

Any other information you would like to share such as hobbies, information about your family, etc.
I am retired and am active in the Native Plant Society of Texas., so I like to garden. I am board member of the Friends of Public Health, Inc. I volunteer at my church and like to travel.
